वेद और भारत VEDA & BHAARAT

Veda means Gyanam ज्ञानम् (Absolute consciousness). In the Vedic and spiritual context Gyana means absolute consciousness. The Supreme one has been defined as “सत्यं ज्ञानम् अनन्तं ब्रह्म” i.e. the Supreme One is Being, Consciousness and Eternal. A Gyani ज्ञानी is one who is merged and steady in his experience of the Supreme Consciousness. He is वेदज्ञ (Vedagya –Knower of Veda). VEDAS ARE AGELESS, so no date can be assigned to Vedas. According to the belief of the orthodox Hindus, Veda is प्रत्यक्षशब्दब्रह्म (The Supreme Self manifest in the form of sound).

“Veda” and “Bharata” is one and the same. Both are incomprehensible, if any one is neglected. Genetically explaining, Veda is the ‘genotype’/DNA [Spiritual manifestation / Blueprint] of Bharata and Bharata is the ‘Phenotype’ [Physical Manifestation] of Veda.[Ref.-Prologue,Revied History of Microbiology (Vedic to modern)]

The Veda literally means “Absolute Consciousness” or “Knowledge” and Bharata means—‘Bha’भा means “light and Knowledge”, and ‘rata’ रत means “attached or devoted to”; i.e. reference to one who is illumined, i.e., who has attained cosmic consciousness, realization of the absolute. Bharata means devoted to light as against darkness. So Bharata is not the name of a mere geographical entity placed in some corner of the world and having its geographical, topographical, and other limitations. Bharata stand for every individual soul that has this idea of light, the dedication to the light, as against immersion in darkness. NATURE OF VEDA

Veda is an attempt to describe the Supreme Self (परमात्मा) or Supreme Being ( सत्, सत्यम्, ऋतम्, ऋतम्बृहत्, परमे वयोमन् etc) and shows the way to realize (प्रत्यक्षिकरण) Him as done by the Rishis. The Vedic Rishis says: “What has been seen is being told.” [RigVeda 5.44.6]; “By cosmic movement (यज्ञेन) Vak (Brahma वाग्वै ब्रह्म) found Her way, She entered the Rishis and (people) received Her in succession.” [RigVeda 10.71.3]

Veda exists in three forms: 1. Concrete (आधिभौतिक) 2. As a Deity (आधिदैविक) and 3. As Absolute Consciousness (आध्यात्मिक = ज्ञानम् ब्रह्म)

The real idea of Veda has been put in a secret and highly symbolical language. In the Rigveda it has been repeatedly said that real meaning of Veda has been concealed in Ninyam, Duryam, Apicyam, Guha-hitam language. All these words mean “secret and concealed”. These secrets can be revealed by those, who have become one with the Supreme Being and are well versed in Itihasa, Purana, Smriti, etc. along with Veda, in the right spirit. Above all Veda requires sadhana (spiritual practice) with tapas under the guidance of competent teachers. If the knowledge of cause is the knowledge of effect, Veda is certainly the beginning and end of all knowledge. एकेन विज्ञातेन सर्वं विज्ञातं भवति .

सिंहावलोक न्याय का अनुसरण Following the maxim of the 'lion’s backward glance'-

This popular maxim has been enshrined in famous ancient "Nyaya Sutra" text.It is used when one casts a retrospective glance at what he has left behind, while at the same time he is proceeding, just as the lion, while going onward in search of prey, now and then bends his neck backwards to see if anything be within his reach. MVIVVU follows this Nyaya Sutra taking in cognizance the ancient method of education and blending it with modern Open, Distance & e-Learning method (ODeL).

Virtual origin of MVIVVU -

24th March, 2010 (RamNavmi day). प्राच्य विश्वविद्यालय यथा - तक्षशिला, नालंदा, विक्रमशिला,भोजशाला, वलभी विद्यापीठ आदि के परंपरा का अनुकरण करते हुए आधुनिक दूरस्त शिक्षण पद्धति को अपनाते हुए वैश्विक मानचित्र में एक विशिष्ट स्थान बनाने हेतु इस नूतन विश्वविद्यालय की आधारशिला रखी गई है । Following the tradition of Great Ancient Vedic higher learning institutes/Universities like Taxila, Nalanda, VikramShila, Bhojshala, Valbhi Vidyapeeth and others this virtual University was constituted for global propagation of Vedic Education,Research and Development.From 13th May 2013 onwards, MVIVVU will also be known as "Vedic Virtual Vidyapeeth" - a registered legal body constituted under the The Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950.

VEDAVYAS_SHYAMACHARAN LAHIRI FINANCIAL AID -

Besides imparting Online Virtual Vedic Education, MVIVVU is also providing financial aid to Vedic organizations like "The Aadi Shankar Vedic Vidya Pratisthan" in Uttar Pradesh for strenthening the Vedic Guru-Shisya Parampara based education to Brahmana Kids under the mentorship of Acharya Dindayal Mani Tripathi ji.

CONCEPT OF 'VIRTUAL UNIVERSITY'-

The term "virtual university" is used to describe any organization that provides higher education programs through electronic devices such as the computer or a TV Screen. Some of the Universities are real institutes, the bricks and mortar type that provide online learning as part of their extended university courses while others provide courses only on-line. Some of these organizations exist only as loosely tied combines of universities, institutes or departments that together provide a number of courses over the Internet, television or other media, that are separate and distinct from programs offered by the single institution outside of the combine. Others are actual organizations with a legal framework, yet named virtual because they appear only on the internet, without a physical location aside from administration units. INDIGENOUS CONCEPT OF 'VIRTUAL VEDIC UNIVERSITY'-

MVIVVU is developing its own unique concept of Virtual education with input of traditional Vedic knowledge. His Holiness Maharshi VedVyas was one of the greatest educator of all the time. We believe that like other Vedic rishis, Maharshi VedVyas was pioneer of Virtual education in dwaparayuga. The proper mode of life according to Sanatan Vedic Hindu culture lies in practising the ''chaturvidha purusharth''चतुर्विध पुरुषार्थ . The four purusharthas are Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha धर्म, अर्थ , काम एवं मोक्ष . Moksha or self-realization has been considered as the hightest achievement in this life. But the practice of the three purusharthas in the proper periods of life is supposed to lead to satisfaction of life and mental peace, leading ultimately to 'atmalabha'आत्मलाभ .

GUEST HOUSE & YOGA–MEDITATION HALL:-

MVIVVU is basically a Virtual University, however to suit the needs of our students and research scholars we have has recently purchased a new house will all basic amenities. MVIVVU council has decided that the house will used as 'Guest House' for accommodation of students, international delegates and faculty members of MVIVVU during conference, workshops, spiritual tour and related events. This Guest House is located in a society which has facilities for organizing conference, workshops and mini-theater (which can be used for spiritual movies or for playing course related videos).
